I just call him "Flyboy".
Graphite undersketch, micron pen, horrible scan from work as per usual. This is going to be someone's Christmas present. I'm not certain whom. He will be colored, most likely with some mix of marker and colored pencil.
An interesting note: historically, in traditional heraldry, male gryphons do not have wings.
Thus, it seemed perfectly logical that a male gryph that wanted to get a taste of the wild blue yonder would become a pilot. And bomber jackets and aviator goggles are neat!

OOO, I like. IT actually reminds me of the character Griff, from the cartoon Gargoyles. This is because the character was met in the time of WWII, and the costume of your FlyBoy seems to be period military from that era. Not exactly like the character, but close enoguh to be a relative.
