Chester the Cheshire

The beginnings of a character illustration for my version of the Cheshire Cat. Chester is basically a corporeal nightmare, the "magic" of his wicked ways etched into his mangy, purple-striped hide in the form of obscure "living" glyphs. Someday I really do need to finish the things I start....

The pencils I was using, as well as the paper, suck. This is evident in the scratchy texture. Practice, practice, practice!
